With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin Young Jr. of Fort Dodge, Iowa, who passed away on September 14, 2021 at the age of 58. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bonnie L. and Rank; his daughter Nicole Young; and his brothers, Jimmy Young, Scott Young and Jerry Young.

He is survived by: his former wife Sandra Wildt; his daughter Camilla Young of Fort Dodge; his grandchildren, DeAnte, Malaki, LaKesha and Romeo; his stepdaughter Cassandra Young-Rokes (Timothy); his stepgrandchildren, Haley, Taylor and EvyAnna; his siblings, Tracy Young of Fort Dodge, Gary Young (Jennifer) of Fort Dodge, Sandy Cole of Fort Dodge and Connie Thielen of Fort Dodge; and his pets, Trouble and Chester. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
