She was predeceased by: her parents, George Smith and Mabel Smith (Schnirring); her husband Maylan Sams; and her siblings, Marie Ramstad, Wayne Smith and Darrel Smith.
She is survived by: her children, LaDon Sams of Fort Dodge, IA, Ty Sams (Barb) of Lincoln, NE and Desiree Sells of Fort Dodge, IA; her grandchildren, Ty Johnson, Casey Jo Peterson (Jordan), Ryan Sams, MyRranda Kendle (Jason) and Brock Sells; her great grandchild Bryan Johnson; and her sister Shirley Kitsmiller of Sac City, IA. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.
