It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leona Cerwick of Fort Dodge, Iowa, who passed away on January 30, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Leona Cerwick to show support.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Wingert and Katherine Wingert (Kenneth); her daughter Theresa Marie Cerwick (Shelly) of Statesboro, GA; her grandson Shawn Crimmins; and her siblings, Lucille Wingert, Mary Butler, Edna Meehan, Leo Wingert, Lillian Genrich, Frances Wingert, Lois Barry, Vera Cerwick, Rita Fay and Agnes Bradley.
She is survived by: her children, Cheri Cerwick of Fort Dodge, Jim Cerwick of Des Moines, Rick Cerwick (Julie) of Waukee and Cindy Doss (Gary) of Johnstown, CO. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-three and growing great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Church (2501 6th Ave N, Fort Dodge, IA 50501). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be left to the family's discretion.
