With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lavonne M. Nelson of Fort Dodge, Iowa, who passed away on March 1, 2021 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tilford Hovick and Josephine Hovick (Resdahl); her husband Jerry Nelson; and her siblings, CJ, Bub, Arlo Hovick, Joyce Johansen and JoAnn Hilstad.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila Parks (Pat) and Mike Nelson; her grandchildren, Jamie Huse (Nic), Sean Parks (Ashley), Kegan Nelson and Kendra Friesth (Tanner); her great grandchildren, Caleb, Kinsley, Olivia, Chloe and Renley; and her sisters-in-law, Carolyn and Shirley Hovick.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family.
