He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Madsen and Alice Arlene Madsen (Mathiason); his wife Vonda Madsen; and his siblings-in-law, Annji Madsen and Roger Hansel.
He is survived by: his sons, Steven and Kent; his granddaughter Ashley Gronewold (Dupuy); his great grandchildren, Zerlyn and Brixlye Gronewold; and his siblings, Linda Hansel and Mike Madsen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
