He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Harklau and Christine "Micky" Harklau (Cowell); and his brother-in-law Nathan Runkel. He is survived by: his daughters, Keri Timmins (Jeff) of Des Moines and Kristi Pierce (Chris) of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Caden Timmins, Alicia Pierce and Gabriel Pierce; his siblings, Eric Harklau of Fort Dodge, Scott Harklau of Fort Dodge, Tracy Runkel of Fort Dodge and Laura Wolfe (Woody) of Spirit Lake; and his former wife Deb Agnes. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Laufersweiler Funeral Home (307 S 12th St, Fort Dodge, IA 50501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
