It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John E. Scharf Jr. of Fort Dodge, Iowa, who passed away on October 13, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. and Mardell Scharf Sr. (Meyers); and his sisters, Joan LaForge and Pauline Colwell. He is survived by: his children, Dianna "Jim" Georg of Fort Dodge, Sherry "Ken" Lile of Lincoln, NE and Johnny "Kelly" Scharf of Fort Dodge; and his stepsons, Brad Mayefske of Fort Dodge and Bobby Mayefske of Tulsa, OK. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren with one more on the way; 3 great-great grandchildren.
