Jimmy Poe Jr. Obituary

Jimmy Poe Jr., 57, formerly of Fort Dodge, died April 8, 2020 at the Grandview Care Center, Oelwein, Iowa, following a 3 year battle with ALS. Private services will be held with burial at North Lawn Cemetery. Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services is entrusted with the arrangements. Jimmy Poe Jr. was born July 1, 1962, son of Jimmy Sr. and Jane (Williams) Poe.

He grew up in Mississippi and served in the U.S. Army following high school. Jimmy was married to Judy Allbee in1988 and the couple later divorced. Jimmy was employed with Union Carpentry, Frigidaire and most recently CJ Bio. He enjoyed time spent with family, cookouts, fishing, blues music and was an avid Raiders fan. Survivors include his children Roderick, Jimmy and "Dezi" Dezarae; his mother Jane; his siblings Rosetta, Mary, Tommy, Sylvester, James, Tyrone and Lasell; his grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and his significant other Janna Pringle.

He was preceded in death by his father Jimmy Poe Sr., his grandparents and multiple nieces and nephews.
