It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Lowell Sanford (Fort Dodge, Iowa), who passed away on November 12, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Louise (Scharf) and Adrian Sanford; and his grandparents, Amos, Ruby Sanford, Martin and Emma Scharf.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jon (Tamy), Joel Sanford (Nelly) of Fort Collins, CO, Jeff Sanford (Wanda) of Manson, IA, Jay (Shelley), Julianne Sanford of Fort Dodge, IA, Jerry Sanford (Mimi) of Des Moines, IA, Jill Sanford and Jane Sanford Clarksville; his uncle Al Scharf Arvada (Sandie); and his cousins, Paul and Pam. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces as well as great nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to St Paul Lutheran Church and School.
