He is survived by: his former wife Sheila Betterton; his sons, James Short (Amy), Jon Meek (Kala) and Robert Short; his grandchildren, Dameon, Carter, Noah, Taylin and Erin; and his brothers, Mike Short (Cindy) and Dave Short (LaVonne).
