He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis De and Darlene Van De (Maifeld); and his brother Tom Van De Pol. He is survived by: his children, Jesse Smith (Brandy) of Newton, Michele Van De Pol of Fort Dodge and Jessie Van De Pol of Fort Dodge; his grandchildren, Nathan, Makayla, Lindyn and Chariah; his siblings, Keith Van De (Helen Jean), Denny Van De Pol of Phoenix, AZ, Janelle Sullivan (Tom) of Gilbert, AZ, Carol Range of Webster City and Deanne Popp (Kelly) of Roland; his former wife Nancy Schultz; and his wife Carla Branum of Fort Dodge.
