He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Bird and Beulah Schnoor Rose; his sister Patti Mallory; his brother-in-law Louis Loring; and his daughter-in-law Joni Bird.
He is survived by: his children, Bryce Bird of Steelville, MO, Teri Bird of Great Falls, MT, Sue Fliss of Spencer and Jo Keefer (Shane) of Great Falls, MT; his siblings, Carolyn Loring of Lewis, IA, Roger Bird (Mary Ann) of Weslaco, TX and Linda Trede of Council Bluffs; and his wife Madolyn Core. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
