It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Wendell of Fort Dodge, Iowa, who passed away on September 27, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Smith Sr. and Bessie Dumdei (Hunefeld); her husbands, Robert Blair and Ray Wendell; her daughters, Roberta "Bobbie" Blair and Linda Klein; her siblings, Victor "Louis" Smith, Frank Smith, Jr. and Gertrude Pierce; her son-in-law Mark Schmalen; and her stepson Pat Wendell.
She is survived by: her children, Toni Schmalen (Rick Ayala) of Fort Dodge and Francis "Butch" Blair (Linda) of Webster City; her son-in-law Danny Klein of Fort Dodge; and her stepchildren, Dan "Mike" Wendell, Tim Wendell and Lori Dutcher (Mike). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
