She was predeceased by: her parents, William Barrett and Florence Sullivan (Dale); her grandson James DeFoe Jr.; and her siblings, Dorothy Azeltine and John Sullivan.
She is survived by: her children, James of Kansas City, Troy of Kansas City and Tami DeFoe of Kansas City; her grandchildren, Melissa Chrisman and Houston DeFoe; and her spouse Dale DeFoe. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
