He was predeceased by: his wife June Zierke (Carlson); his parents, John Zierke and Rose Zierke (Gleason); his children-in-law, Alan Winn and Mary Zierke (Clausen); and his sister-in-law Darlene Trusty.
He is survived by: his children, Pat Zierke of Nevada, Janan Winn of Iowa City, Lynne Haub (Dan) of West Branch, Carol Tonne (Brent) of Granada, MN, Paul Zierke (Lorna) of Spirit Lake and David Zierke (Terry) of Hawarden; and his brother-in-law Conrad Trusty. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
