He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Chizek and Matie Chizek (Harmsen); his parents-in-law, Anton and Pearl Peterson (Vinge); his sister Gerene Lassen; and his brothers-in-law, Merlin Lassen and Bill Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Peterson (Gini) of Fort Dodge; his daughters, Kassandra Smith (Holland III) of Albany, OR and Lyndsey Steck (Tom) of Fort Dodge; and his granddaughter Noelle Steck.
