He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Rogers and Lillie Rogers (Goodman); his son-in-law Ken Anderson; and his parents-in-law, Ulric and Clara Volf.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Rogers of Fort Dodge; his children, Mike Rogers of Fort Dodge, Cathy Anderson of Ames, IA and Michelle Dowd (Bill) of Fort Dodge; his grandchildren, Justin Rogers (Jonah) of Ankeny, IA, Jeanna Gronbach (Matt) of Fort Dodge, Makenna Browning (Mark) of Newton, IA, P. J. Dowd (Shelley) of Brandon, SD, Katie Quinn (Jake) of Washington, IA and Bryan Dowd of Fort Myers, FL; and his pet Annie. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
