He was predeceased by: his parents, Erick Johnson (Clarence Johnson) and Edna Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lu; his children, Jeff Johnson (Karen) of Marco Island, FL, Scott Johnson (Michele) of Fort Dodge, Steve Johnson (Susan) of Mansfield, TX and Susan Carlson (Clayton) of Eden Prairie, MN; his grandchildren, Nick Johnson (Erica), Sam Johnson, Ben Johnson, Jennifer Shurbet (Jacob), Megan Johnson (Sayle Matthews), Nicole Johnson and Natalie Carlson (David Waldvogel); and his great grandchildren, Jaxson, Joseph, Harper, Berkley, Madison, Conner, Lindy and Charlie.
Dennis was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fort Dodge, Fort Dodge Betterment Foundation and served as Fort Dodge Chamber of Commerce president.
