She was predeceased by: her adoptive parents, Thomas Michaelsen and Marie Michaelsen (Sievers); her husband Ralph Jochimsen of Westside; and her daughter-in-law Teresa. She is survived by: her children, Steven Jochimsen (Barbara "Bobbi") of Hemp Hill, TX, Clark Jochimsen of Fort Dodge, Gary Jochimsen of Mason City and Kenda Jochimsen (Joe Malek) of Springfield, IL; her grandchildren, Michelle Albanasi (Kevin), Andrea Young (Jason), Lauren Coleman (Chris), Kelsey Millang (Jessie) and Gina Slaven (Bobbie); and her great grandchildren, Isabelle, Hudson Coleman, Knox, Jax, Molly Millang, Everett, Callahan Slaven, Pieper, Avery Albanasi and Evan Young.
She then spent 30 years with Foster Grandparents as a teacher's helper, from which her second retirement was prompted by the covid pandemic.
