With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dean Hiracheta of Fort Dodge, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 15, 2025 at the age of 95. He was predeceased by: his wife Carmella Sotelo; his sons, Michael and Leon; and his siblings, Olivia, Frank, Andy, Peter, Angelo, Helen, Ernie, Ted and Lupe.
He is survived by: his children, Dean (Marie Saunders) of Apple Valley, MN, Philip (Marleen) of Hope Mills, N. C., Angelina Hiracheta of Fort Dodge and Maria Korte of Las Vegas; his daughter-in-law Teresa Hiracheta of Marshalltown; and his brother Raymond Hiracheta. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services (615 N 15th St, Fort Dodge, IA 50501). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel (615 N 15th St, Fort Dodge, IA 50501). A burial will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at the Corpus Christi Cemetery.
