He is survived by: his former wife Lavonne Hazel Arrowsmith; his grandchildren, Jessica Ebner and Shiloh Halbur; his wife Jacqueline McCollum (George); his daughter Christina McCollum of Bradgate; his stepdaughters, Angela Halbur Gibbs (Ron) of Gowrie, Christina Halbur Brockelsby (Joseph) of Sioux City and Gennifer Halbur Quillen (Dennis) of Sioux City; his grandchildren, Shawn M. Halbur of Iowa City, Clarrissa Halbur of Fort Dodge and Shane Halbur of Lehigh; his stepsister Debbie Gwynn; his stepson Shawn P Halbur; his stepgrandchildren, Jessica Gomez (Ebner) and Jacob Gibbs; and his brother Daniel Grapper.
He was residing at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge when Covid-19 raised its ugly head. David lost his battle with COVID-19 on December 8, 2020.
