He was predeceased by: his parents, Tonnis Steck and Fern Steck (Marlene Steck); his children, Michael Steck, Deb Gilbert, Dana Cartee and Pam Steck; his grandchildren, Bret Steck and Heather Cartee Glad; and his siblings, Sid Steck (Jo), Bill Steck, Anita Clayton (Harry), Jim Eastwood, Donna Polka (John) and Violet Steck.
He is survived by: his sons, Matt Steck of Waterford City, ND, Mark Steck (Valerie) of Harcourt, Rodney Cartee of Anniston, AL and Jim Gilbert of Fort Dodge; his grandchildren, Crystal Wendell (Chris), Lance, Sheryl (Isaiah), Joseph (Jennifer), Timothy (Jocelyn), Shawn (Layla), Andrew of Alan, Amanda (Wes), Heather Watts (Don), Krystal, Dustin Cartee (Jaci) and Aaron Glad; his sister Vickie Steck; and his wife Marlene Eastwood. He is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
