She was predeceased by: her sons, Rod and Brian; her siblings, Elvira, Vernon (Pete), Clifford and JoAnn; her parents, Gerd Ihnen and Minnie Ihnen; and her husband Oscar Askeland.
She is survived by: her son Cal Askeland (Bev); and her daughters-in-law, Liz Askeland, Fort Dodge and Laura Askeland of Mesa, AZ. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
