He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Ewing and Cecelia Ewing (Conley); his siblings, Rosemary Newby, Robert Ewing, Ann Snyder and Charlotte Leiss; and his wife Joan Carpenter.
He is survived by: his children, Vicki Ewing (Charlie Haynes) of Sachse, TX, Patrick Ewing of Humboldt, Mark Ewing (Renae Knobloch) of Brandon, SD and Rebecca Naeve (Mitch) of Humboldt; his grandchildren, Adam Ewing, Mckayla Schievelbein, Eric Ewing, Miranda Weber, Blake Naeve and Payton Ewing; and his siblings, Kathy Gobeli of Fort Dodge, Mary Fitzgerald of Otho, Howard Ewing of Fort Dodge, Ralph Ewing of Fort Dodge and Gary Ewing of Denver, CO.. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
