She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Schmitt and Mary Schmitt (Blong); her husband Merlin C. Rilling of Luke's Catholic Church; her siblings, John E. Schmitt, Roman Schmitt, Alfred Schmitt, Coletta Busta, Leona Dietzenbach, Theola Schaefer and Cordula Doucet; and her siblings-in-law, Dean Rilling, Glenn Rilling, Leo Schmitt, Jerome Hackman, Jacob Busta, Jim Schaefer, Joe Doucet, Wilfred Dietzenbach, Darlyne Hackman, Rosemar Rilling (Rosie), Jeanette Schmitt, Rita Schmitt and Madonna Schmitt.

She is survived by: her children, Eileen Hageman (Steve) of Solon, IA, Kathleen Pavon of Indianapolis, IN, Kenneth Rilling of Fort Atkinson, IA and Eugene Rilling (Donna) of Center Point, IA; her grandchildren, Holly Flynn (Derek) of Solon, IA, Christa Richards (Ian) of Des Moines, IA and Chad Hageman (Bethany) of Ames, IA; and her sisters-in-law, Therese Schmitt of Fort Atkinson, IA and LaVina Rilling of El Cajon, CA.. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
