It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Lowell Johnson of Forest City, Iowa, who passed away on December 29, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, O. J. Johnson and Mina Johnson; his wife Ruth Johnson; his parents-in-law, Gerhard and Tobie Hatteberg; and his siblings-in-law, Mavis Hatteberg, Hazel Pedersen (Kenny), Gerb Hatteberg (Pat) and Rhoda Golf (Phil).
He is survived by: his close friends, Don Snyder, Barb Johnson and Mary Eggebraaten; his children, Kris Happel (Ron) of Forest City and Greg Johnson (Liz) of Falcon Heights, MN; his grandchildren, Jonathan Happel (Kate) of Clear Lake, Daniel Happel (Abby) of Cedar Falls, Sarri Happel of Iowa City, Julia Johnson of Falcon Heights, MN and Charlie Johnson of Eau Claire, WI; and his great grandchild Gabe Garner of Clear Lake. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Waldorf University or Immanuel Lutheran Church.
