He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Christianson and Alice Christianson (Peterson). He is survived by: his wife Ethel of Forest City, IA; his children, Lon Christianson (Jane) of Bemidji, MN, Kathy Tjaden (Michael) of Forest City and Barbara Renshaw (James) of Lake Mills; his grandchildren, Emily Christianson, Lara Plathe (Chad), Brent Tjaden, Katie Renshaw, Karla Faber (Andrew), Stephanie Carter (Keeyon) and Kelly Nieman (Ben); his great grandchildren, Cole Plathe, Lillian Plathe, Weston Pilgrim, Myles Carter, Owen Nieman, Emmett Carter and Kace Faber; and his siblings, J. Gordon Christianson and Donna Baalson (Clarence). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
According to his wishes, Paul's final gift was to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, that his body donation may benefit the medical community.
