He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil L. and Anola Lunning (Helland); his wife Mona; and his brother Lynn Lunning. He is survived by: his children, Jerry Lunning Jr of Forest City, Virgil Roy Lunning (Shea) of Forest City, Rick Kofron (Cindy), Christy Smoley (Chuck), Lori Kofron (Deb) and Darin Kofron; his grandchildren, Kelly Ranae Munroe (Larissa), Juliet Sorteberg, Elsa JoDel, Tristan Wayne Lunning, Mandi Kofron and Amy Kofron; and his siblings, Verdell Lunning, Roger Lunning, Darrell Lunning (Wanda), Denise Rogers (Doug) and Deb Loge (Scott). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
