He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Peterson and Eleanor Peterson (Jones); his siblings, Roger and Miriam; and his brother-in-law Ed Knudtson.
He is survived by: his wife Bonna of Forest City; his children, David (Patti) of Colorado Springs, CO, Susan Tendler (Marty) of St. Louis, MO, Steve (Tina) of Grand Junction, CO and Jim (Cindy) of Minneapolis, MN; and his sister Janice Knudtson of Forest City. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Winnebago Historical Society.
