She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Kern (Rick) of Dolliver and Lori Ewing of Forest City; her grandchildren, Brad Ewing (Nicole), Andrew Ewing (Beth), Cory Ewing, Ryan Ewing, Christina Kern, Richelle Kern, Amanda Kern, Anthony "AJ" Krutsinger (Taylor), Spencer Krutsinger, Dylan Krutsinger, Colby Krutsinger and Breylan Krutsinger; her siblings, Sandy McGonigle (Kyle) of Des Moines, Ron Higby (Lynette) of Rockford, Leonard Higby (Jean) of Gering and Rhonda Higby of Rockford, Iowa; her aunts, Grace Long of Rockford and Helen Schumburg (Jim) of Rockford, Iowa; and her siblings-in-law, Marge Johnson (Ewing) of Iowa Falls and Paul "Shorty" Peterson of Boxholm. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other special relatives and friends.
