He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Funke and Lois Irene Funke (Ruch); and his siblings, Rebecca Dunkerson, Marcia Schmitt and Rocky Funke.

He is survived by: his sons, Duane Funke (Lisa) of Anita and Pat Funke of Dexter, Iowa; his grandchildren, Montgomery Funke, Harley Hetherin (Austin) and Brooklyn Funke; his great grandchildren, Ashton, Able and Roman Hetherin; his sisters, Sherry Ruggles (Jim) of Boone and Cindy Wambold (Terry) of Oklahoma; and his stepsons, Travis Arterburn (Lisa) of Fontanelle and Justin Arterburn (Amanda) of Ankeny, Iowa. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be directed to Howard Funke memorial fund to be established by the family at a later date.
