He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Schroeder and Loretta Schroeder (LaVelle); his parents-in-law, Albert and Lena Strobel; his siblings, Eugene Schroeder and Mary; and his siblings-in-law, Herbert Montgomery, Calvin Strobel and Barb Strobel (Alvin).
He is survived by: his wife Viola Strobel (Vi); his children, Mike Schroeder (Nancy) of Granger, IA and Terri Schroeder of Le Mars; his granddaughters, Kristen Miner (Matt) of Granger, IA and Keni Tiernan (Tom) of Granger, IA; his great grandchildren, Brantley of Granger, IA, Naomi Miner of Granger, IA and Aubree Tiernan of Granger, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Carine Schroeder of Doon, IA, Beverly Strobel of Windsor, CO, Arnold Strobel of Burlington, CO, Alvin Strobel of Burlington, CO, Art Strobel (Connie) of Bethune, CO and Butch Strobel (Sandee) of Greeley, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation (with no family present, social distancing and masks required) will begin at 5:00 p. m. with a rosary at 7:00 p. m., all on Friday, August 21 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.
