He was predeceased by: his wife Virgene Horn May; his granddaughter Jennifer Mahoney; his siblings, Lillian Adams, Phyllis Peterson, Dean, Keith and William; and his half-siblings, Marvin Arp and Patricia Arp.
He is survived by: his sons, Tom (Mary) of Gilroy, Kenny (Mary) of Charles City and Terry (Sue) of Ionia; his close friend Dolores Roberts; and his children, Lawrence J. "Butch" (Georgia) of Osage, Sandra Bromley (Ron) of Waterloo and Judy Mahoney (Pat) of Dillingham, Ala. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild; along with many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Grace United Methodist Church or family's choice.
