She was predeceased by: her parents, Ezra Smidt and Fern Smidt (Dingman); her stepmother Ida Smidt (Johnson); and her sisters, Lois and Annette Smidt.
She is survived by: her husband Harold M. Ouverson of Fertile; her children, Mike (Nancy) of Worthington, IA, Terry (Maggie) of Oak Hill, VA and Kris Wright (Paul) of Bellechester, MN; her grandchildren, Jennie, James Ouverson of Centreville, VA, Sean Mitchell of Woodbridge, VA, Tim Ouverson of Ames, IA and John McCormick (Kasey) of Earlville, IA; her great grandchildren, Angelina Stash of Centreville, VA, Delia and JJ McCormick of Earlville, IA; her siblings, Don Smidt of Forest City, IA and Darlene Holecek (Glen) of Centuria, WI; and her daughter-in-law Dixie Harrison of Gowrie, IA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of customary remembrances, family suggests memorial contributions to the Crow Creek Sioux Reservation via the Diamond Creek Ministries.
