She was predeceased by: her parents, George Raymond "Ray" and Leora Mildred Bissell (Wenkstern); her husband John Conrad Pleis; her grandson Aaron Novak; and her siblings, Calvin, Clarence, Violet, Raymond, Ben and Virginia.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lillian Novak (Jim) of Oelwein, Shirley Thompson (Jim) of Gladbrook and Jane Wells (Dick) of Arlington; her grandchildren, Julie Westendorf (Nathan) of Oelwein, Heather Morden (Chris) of Wilmington and Casey Wells (Tricia) of Fayette; her great grandchildren, Macy, Kyla, Kenna Westendorf, Jayden and Delaney Wells; her siblings, Viola Calvert of Vinton, Lucille Terry (Bob) of Georgia, Earl Bissell of Center Point and Evelyn Bissell of Houston, Texas; and her siblings-in-law, Gloria Njos of Austin, Darlene Bissell of Arlington, Doris Bissell and Dan McGuire of Clermont. She is also survived by several Nieces & Nephews.
