It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Sylvia (Starnes) McAllister (Farragut, Iowa), who passed away at the age of 98, on February 5, 2023. She was predeceased by : her father John S. Starnes; her son Donald Merlin McAllister; her husband Merlin R. McAllister; her mother Jennie J. Starnes (Jones); her siblings, John Starnes and Nora Nelson (Starnes); her grandson Jason McAllister; and her granddaughter-in-law Jennifer McAllister.

She is survived by : her daughter Marcia Ann McAllister of Shenandoah; her daughter-in-law Karen McAllister of Farragut; and her grandchildren, Donald Patrick McAllister (Tracy) of Calhan, Colorado, Tera Lynne Krueger (Erich) of Glenwood, Iowa and Jeremy Todd McAllister of Farragut. She is also survived by her 8 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Memorials will be directed to the Farragut United Methodist Church and there will be private interment of ashes later in the Farragut, IA Cemetery.
