The memory of Richard G. Scott of Farragut, Iowa, who passed away on June 17, 2024 at the age of 92, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by : his parents, Arnold Scott and Ruth Elizabeth Scott; his son Carl Richard; his children-in-law, Joe Carver and Cambra Scott (Cammi); his grandchildren, Jax and Delainie Scott; and his brothers, Thomas, Donald and James.

He is survived by : his wife Phyllis Marie (Morhain); his children, Carol Carver (Alan Eddy) of Shenandoah, Iowa, Diane Carpenter (Rodney) of Farragut, Iowa and John Scott; his grandchildren, Tonya Hutt (Ted) of Clarinda, Iowa, Sheryl Simmerman (Robert) of Northboro, Iowa, Justin Scott (Melinda DeMartino) of Lebanon, Bobbie Retzloff (Shawn) of Marshfield and Duke Scott of Shenandoah, Iowa; and his great grandchildren, Chevy Hutt, Leahna Hutt, Hailand Hutt, Autumn Hutt, Nora Kirkpatrick, Kody Hanson, Asher Simmerman, Kighlynn Scott, Jaelynn Scott, Kaisen Scott, Luke DeMartino, Jayson Retzloff, Gunner Retzloff, Sydney Retzloff and Axtyn Retzloff. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Nishna Valley Funeral and Cremation Service (405 W Thomas Ave, Shenandoah, IA 51601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

Memorials may be directed to the Scott family for designation at a later time.
