He is survived by: his wife Lauraine Welchans of Farragut; and his children, Kate Murphy (Louis) of Ardmore, OK, Kevin Welchans (Rachel) of Ft. Collins, CO, Craig Welchans of Essex, IA and Kari Martin (Jim) of Shenandoah, IA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; other family and friends.
