He was predeceased by: his parents, William Clyde and Anna Margaret Knowles (Goodridge); his wife Carol E. Van Horn; his brothers, Henry Knowles and Marion Knowles; and his son Kreig.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Franklin Knowles of Tennessee, Joyce LeeAnn Rummell of Oregon, Dawn Elin Long of Montana and William Glenn Knowles of Fort Madison. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several great - great grandchildren.
