He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Henry and Dorothy Faye Hootman (Channel). He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Barnes; his children, Sonny D. Hootman (Sandy) of Farmington, Dawn Robison (Blake) of Cantril, Dorian Hootman (Jamie) of Douds and Dolan Hootman of Farmington, Iowa; and his grandchildren, Andrew Sonny, Benaiah (Audrie), Kate, Micaiah, Collin and Blakelan (Branden).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his memory for Saint Jude Children's Hospital.
