She was predeceased by: her parents, Clement Niehaus and Matilda Pasker Niehaus (Tillie); her daughter Carol Myrna Steffen; her granddaughter Joni Carol Steffen; her brother Fred Niehaus; and her in-laws, Vincent Steffen (Betty), Harry Steffen (Marcella), Mary Ann Feltes (Don) and Roger Steffen.
She is survived by: her husband Herb of Patrick's Church; her children, Randy Steffen (Julie), Terry Steffen (Carla), Dean Steffen, Lynn Pitz (Bill), Tom Steffen (Maria), Dale Steffen (Becky) and Kathy Goerdt (Matt); her grandchildren, Bethany Trumm (Nate), Meredith Young (Adam), Olivia Ervin (Daniel), Myra Steffen, Kristen Leggins (Bryce), Brittany Pitz, Amber Gravel (Brad), Logan Pitz (Emma), Morgan Perrenoud (Cole), Carolyn Steffen, Hailey Steffen, Will Steffen, Rebecca Goerdt, Steffen Goerdt and Kate Goerdt; her stepgrandchildren, Ryan Gasper and Julia Gasper; her great grandchildren, Braden Bickford, Kinley, Drew Leggins, Nora, Cecily, Greta Young, Loretta, Judd, Tillie Gravel, Izzy Pitz and Frankie Trumm; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Vivian and Grant Trumm; her nephews, Chuck Niehaus (Robin) and Jeff Niehaus (Jolene); and her sister-in-law Katie Steffen (Maiers). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A prayer was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Reiff Funeral Home (330 1st Ave NW, Farley, IA 52046). Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (202 2nd Ave SE, Farley, IA 52046).
