She was predeceased by: her parents, Clement Steil and Matilda Steil (Behnke); her husband Virgil Murphy of Philomena's Catholic Church; her son-in-law Paul Jarding; her grandsons, Zachary Pust and James C. Murphy; her siblings, Gerald Steil (Gloria), Leonard Steil, Norman Steil (Mary Ann), Mary Ann Derouin (Donald), Evelyn Beecher (Albert) and Eleanor Lombardi (Donald); and her in-laws, Eileen Bruening (Duane) and Louis Murphy.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Jarding of Dubuque, IA, Kathryn Berkley (Jon) of Dubuque, James Murphy of Farley and Daniel Murphy (Christine) of Farley; her children-in-law, James Steil (Jean) of Asbury, LaVern Steil (Elaine) of Dubuque and Jude Steil of Bettendorf; and her sister-in-law Betty Murphy of Dubuque. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; her siblings.
