He was predeceased by: his wife Ann Martin; his children, Betty Martin Sprouse and William "Bill" Martin; and his siblings, Luther and Thelma.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ann Martin Causey of Bowling Green, KY and Walter Ray Martin; his grandsons, Gary Simmons, Michael Causey of Bowling Green, Shelby Sprouse of Florida and Steve Sprouse of Scottsville, KY; his stepgrandchildren, Cathy Pioli of Bowling Green, KY, Dennis Causey of Bowling Green, KY and David Causey of Bowling Green, KY; and his caregiver Sherri Ellis. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
