It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Oren Garvin Shaffer of Fairfield, Iowa, born in Elizabeth, Indiana, who passed away on May 7, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Garvin A. Shaffer and Beatrice Blackman Shaffer; his wife Sally Jeannine Graf; and his brother-in-law Art Hartwick. He is survived by: his children, Douglas Shaffer, Leilani Dodd (Dan), Leah Blauvelt (Mark), Kimberly Miller (Merlin) and Lisa Choudhary (Subodh); and his grandchildren, Dustin Dodd, Micah Dodd, Aaron Blauvelt, Eric Miller, Ashley Schaefer, Anil Choudhary and Asha Sas (Chandler).
