He is survived by: his brother Ken; his children, Denise Nelson (Don) of Tulsa, OK and Myron Gookin (Ann) of Fairfield, IA; his grandchildren, Meridith Nelson of Normal, IL, Hillary Bassham (Waco) of Tulsa, OK, Brent Nelson (Sara) of Colorado Springs, CO, Amy Gookin, Alex Gookin (Rachel) of Fairfield, IA and Michael Gookin of Des Moines, IA; and his siblings, Kenneth Gookin (Marjorie) of Story City and Betty Umbenhower of Chariton, IA. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
