As Lance Whitney departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Lance Whitney. Though Lance Whitney may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his aunts, Sharlene Smith and Rhonda Young; and his cousin Sara Schwartz. He is survived by: his parents, Tim Smith and Sherri Hisel Smith of Fairfield, IA; his siblings, Lani Boyd of Fairfield, IA and Jacob Smith (Rachel) of Camdenton, MO; his daughter Maggie Anne Smith; and his nephews, Chaison and Asher Boyd. He is also survived by his family and numerous friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (1601 S Main St, Fairfield, IA 52556).
