He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Cook and Hazel Cook (Gire); his siblings, Paul Cook, Charles Cook, Marvin Cook, James Cook, Bill Cook, Pauline Holt, Aretta Fitzwater, Alberta Dunn and Jeannie Ollom; and his foster daughter Teresa McCay.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Harness (Dowd) of Fairfield; his children, Lori Fowler of Oskaloosa, Angie Mocol of Packwood and Kurt Harness of Fairfield; and his grandchildren, Debra Fowler, Olivia Fowler, Rhyienne Fowler, Josh Mocol and Alex Mocol. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
