He is survived by: his wife Linda Oakes; his children, Tim Oakes (Shelia) of Cary, NC, Tammy Nichols (Larry) of Hannibal and Todd Oakes (Bridgit) of Waukee, IA; his grandsons, Carter Oakes (Kevin Oakes), Colton Nichols (Mitchell Nichols), Calvin Oakes and Carson Oakes (Spencer Oakes); his cousin Bob Miller (Marilyn); and also, Bill, Linda Gerdes, Patti and Jerry Mitchell.
