He was predeceased by: his parents, Craig Pettit and Dorothy Pettit; and his brothers-in-law, Rudy Rogers, Wayne, Weldon and Eddie Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Bernita; his sister Helen Rogers of Mt Pleasant, Iowa; his children, Marcia Seddon (John) of Cincinnati, Iowa, Glen (Patti) and Gordon (Becca); his grandchildren, Sami Budiselich (George), Chloie Lewis (David), Katie Seddon, Eric Pettit, Justin Pettit, Drew Pettit, Zach Pettit and Aly Pettit; and his great grandchildren, Calvin Smith and Calliope Lewis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fairfield Lions Club, First United Methodist Church, or the EveryStep Hospice .
