She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd LaRue and Ruth LaRue (Werts); and her brother Carroll Vern. She is survived by: her sons, Daniel (Deanne Bowers), Douglas (Phyllis Bowers) and Robert; her sister Eileen; her brother-in-law Louis Day; her uncle George Werts; her husband Robert Bowers of Fairfield, IA; her children, Steven (Stacie Bowers) and Cheryl; and her son-in-law Kevin Lewis of Nashville, TN. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, and many more relatives and friends.
Darlene's family respectfully requests that anyone attending the visitation or service wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.
In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to the Freedom Bible Camp in Chariton or Our Daily Bread Ministries.
